Creating Stable Foundations: The Journey of Resident Service Coordinators
Posted by: Preservation Management, Inc. in Uncategorized on August 6, 2024
One of the many roles of a Resident Service Coordinator is to aid in the facilitation of onsite programming and events. Strong communities are built on social connections and a sense of belonging. RSCs achieve this through facilitating many free community activities, holiday parties, congregate meals, life skill workshops, health screenings, commodity and food initiatives, after-school programs, summer camps, crime prevention, literacy benefits, and much more. Join us as we highlight some of the many events, activities, and thoughts from our PMI Supportive Services Team.
“Our resident services department offers a multitude of benefits that aid in our residents achieving a stable foundation. From connecting residents to resources in the community to bringing services and educational programming INTO our communities, resident services offer support for it all!
– Tina Lysogorski, Director of Resident Services
Craven Terrace Apartments hosted an exciting event, geared towards stopping elder abuse. This important event was a powerful demonstration of the community’s commitment to protecting and valuing senior citizens The highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of children, who proudly held up t-shirts with messages of support and awareness. Their involvement added a heartwarming and impactful presentation, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational solidarity in our fight against elder abuse.
“Seeing the children actively participate and express their support was incredibly inspiring. Their energy and dedication remind us that creating a safe and respectful environment for our elders is a responsibility we all share.”

“My goal is to make Council House Apartments a haven in the heart of Tucson, AZ. I want our residents to feel proud to reside here. Hearing residents say they enjoy the regularly scheduled events, and how incredibly helpful and empowering the bulletin boards are, brings me joy and inspiration to continue this hard work. I aim to be an RSC that our residents can count on as soon as they walk through the door. I strive to locate resources and have them readily available to the residents to utilize at their disposal. It’s an honor to assist our community with educational information that helps them survive and thrive independently in their homes. I enjoy coming to work and making a difference in our residents’ lives. RSCs are a valuable element of the management team and play a crucial role in maintaining a stable foundation.”
– Samantha Wade, RSC at Council House Apartments
“Many of the services our residents seek now require a computer or smartphone and the skills to access them. Medical systems now require the use of MyChart. City, state, and federal government services require online accounts to access benefits. Many older adults who do not possess computer skills, or have access to a computer, experience a loss of these vital services. Through the support provided by resident services, it ensures our residents establish a more secure foundation.”
– Sally Krommes, RSC at Sentinel Plaza Apartments
Through powerful connections, Resident Service Coordinators can make a vast impact on the lives of their residents and the communities they serve. RSCs aim to create a stable, healthy, inclusive environment for all.
